Kathryn Walks Dogs - Scheduling and Cancellation Policy At Kathryn Walks Dogs, we strive to provide reliable and flexible dog walking services. To ensure efficient scheduling and respect for our time, the following policies apply to same-day scheduling and cancellations: Same-Day Scheduling Fee: $5 Definition: A "same-day" booking refers to any walk or service scheduled less than 12 hours before the desired booking time. Applicability: This fee will be applied to any new service requests or changes to existing bookings that fall within the same-day timeframe. Reasoning: Same-day scheduling often requires adjustments to our pre-planned routes and may involve additional logistical efforts to accommodate your request on short notice. This fee helps to compensate for the added time and potential inconvenience. Transparency: You will be informed of this fee at the time of booking if your request qualifies as same-day scheduling. Same-Day Cancellation Fee: $10 Definition: A "same-day" cancellation refers to any cancellation of a scheduled walk or service that occurs less than 12 hours or less prior to the scheduled service time. Applicability: This fee will be applied to any cancellation made within the same-day timeframe. Reasoning: When a walk is scheduled, we allocate time in our day and make arrangements to be available for your dog. Late cancellations can result in lost income and make it difficult to fill that time slot with another client. This fee helps to compensate for the lost opportunity. Exceptions: We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Exceptions to the same-day cancellation fee may be considered on a case-by-case basis for genuine emergencies. Please communicate any such situations to us as soon as possible. Transparency: Clients will be reminded of this cancellation policy upon initial booking and in any confirmation messages. How Fees Will Be Applied: Any applicable same-day scheduling or cancellation fees will be added to your next invoice. Should another booking not be placed by the end of that calendar month an invoice will be sent with options for how the fee can be paid. Communication is Key: We encourage open communication regarding your scheduling needs. Please provide as much advance notice as possible for all bookings and any necessary changes or cancellations.
